Charlie Mann

Founder, Chief Vision Officer

Charlie Mann worked as a classroom instructor teaching foreign languages and English for Students of Other Languages for a total of 25 years. He is married and is a father to four grown children and has 4 grandchildren. He acquired efficacy in American Sign Language to teach Spanish at Gallaudet University. He was a classroom specialist in foreign languages and ESOL (English for Students of Other Languages). Seeing the dire need of the many in his community, workplace and beyond, he sought out resources of food to give to those he learned were struggling and in need. This evolved into a non profit organization which has been providing not only fresh food to upwards to 20,000 recipients each month, but also clothing, toys, books, furniture, household goods, etc. for nearly 40 years. Charlie has a contagious passion for eliminating societal waste and putting it back into the hands of those in need in the local community.

Winfield Clark serves as Chief Executive Officer and Board President at Celestial Manna. Prior to his role as CEO, he served as Chief Operating Officer, providing operational leadership over Celestial Manna's 100+ partner network spanning 6 states. Winfield serves as a champion of Celestial Manna's culture and values and is committed to increasing access to quality, nourishing food donations for the communities it serves.

Prior to volunteering with Celestial Manna, Winfield brings over twenty years of business transformation and operations leadership experience in the for-profit sector of Healthcare, Manufacturing and Food Processing. Winfield held leadership roles with firms like Danaher Corporation, The Cleveland Clinic and Kraft Heinz. He continues to pursue his career in healthcare leadership

Winfield has a BSEE from Hampton University, and a MBA from the University of Iowa. He is a Christian husband and father of 6. When he is not spending time with family, he is a foodie with a passion for fitness who loves to travel and restore his classic vehicle.

Judy Mann has been on the board as secretary and treasurer since its inception. In 2020, she relinquished these responsibilities to become Vice President.

Judy was a teacher’s assistant for 6 years in private school education where she was responsible for supporting reading and writing instruction and classroom management. She received numerous accolades and rewards for her passionate love for children and their success in learning. She had/has 4 children to whom she dedicated her motherly time until they were out of the home. She home schooled 2 of the youngest children for 12 years with such success that all 4 of her children are successful professionals in their careers. In 2003 she assumed a responsibility as a bookkeeper for a growing non-denominational congregation which progressed into the role as the executive administrative assistant. Her responsibilities include being the receptionist, oral/written communications, database management, coordination of all events, scheduling, etc.

Jeremy Mann

Communications Liaison

In 2006, Jeremy Mann founded Hands in Motion LLC, an American Sign Language interpreting agency based out of Washington DC which serves the Deaf community nationally. He is knowledgeable in both ASL and Deaf culture and has over 14 years of experience as a CEO. Jeremy also serves on the advisory board for 2 other organizations and volunteers regularly interpreting for the Deaf community.

Kathleen Lewis is the Administrative Director of Laboratory Services & Pathology at LifeBridge Health-Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD. She devoted over 17 years to providing quality healthcare to all. She serves as the Programming Committee Director for the Maryland Association for Healthcare Executives (MAHCE), the former secretary for the National Association of Health Executives, the Baltimore Chapter Advisory Board, and the Admissions Committee for the Medical Technology Program at LBH Sinai Hospital She also sits on the Board for RxPartnerships. Katheleen recently joined Premier’s Lab Resource Committee where she is a co-chair. She enjoys working with Celestial Manna as the Board Secretary. In her spare time, Kathleen loves to travel, bake, play piano, read, run, and play tennis. A fun fact for Kathleen is that she also plays violin, oboe, and the alto saxophone.

After 30 years of working in Montgomery County Public Schools, Monika Roberts decided it was time to shift her focus on how she made herself and others happy. She joined forces with Celestial Manna as the Fundraising Coordinator In 2017. In 2024, Monika has taken on the challenge of Chief Financial Officer. The mission of Celestial Manna has become a passion of Monika’s and a focus on her financial strategies to assist in their financial growth. To share the harvest with those in need is something that is near and dear to her heart. Her passion for serving those in need is apparent in her work with Celestial Manna in growth through their financial goals now and in the future.

Lauren Hayden

Vice President of Strategic Growth and Partnerships

Lauren Hayden is a seasoned professional with a unique blend of expertise in business, healthcare, and community service. She holds a Master’s in Business Administration, complemented by an undergraduate degree in Biology and Psychology, with a specialized focus in Pediatric Trauma Care. 

With nine years of experience as a volunteer firefighter and medic in EMS, Lauren has dedicated her career to serving others. She has also worked as the Advancement Director for the Archdiocese of Baltimore Catholic Schools, where she successfully led fundraising and development initiatives. 

Additionally, she served as the Residential Director for a Pediatric Inpatient Treatment Center, overseeing the care and rehabilitation of young patients. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Lauren is a committed foster and adoptive parent to medically fragile children, providing a loving and supportive home environment. 

Currently, she enjoys life as a proud stay-at-home mom and owner of a farmette. Her family farm not only sustains her household but also contributes to the local community, reflecting her ongoing commitment to service and care. In her spare time, Lauren loves wrangling kids and cattle, finding joy and fulfillment in her vibrant and bustling life.

Director of Finance and Operational Manager, Cynthia Alayo is the Director of Finance and Operations at Celestial Manna, bringing over 15 years of expertise in finance, management, and organizational operations. In her role,Cynthia is responsible for overseeing the organization's financial strategy, budgeting, and compliance, ensuring both fiscal health and operational efficiency.

Before joining Celestial Manna, Cynthia held leadership positions where she played a key role in aligning departmental objectives with organizational missions, spearheading operational improvements, and managing comprehensive financial reporting. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Cynthia has served on the boards of several nonprofit organizations focused on women's rights, youth trauma recovery, homelessness reduction, and transitional programs for young adults.

Passionate about creating a positive social impact, Cynthia is deeply committed to advancing human services and civil rights. A dedicated Christian and single mother of two young adult daughters, Cynthia enjoys creative writing and design in her spare time. Fluent in Spanish and skilled in a variety of financial and operational software, she is committed to using her talents to further Celestial Manna’s mission and goals.

Miteshri Prajapati

Chief Public Relations Officer

Miteshri holds a Ph.D. in Nutrition Sciences and currently serves as the Chief Public Relations Officer at Celestial Manna. In this role, she is responsible for identifying and writing grants, assessing gaps in services, and designing tailored programs focused on sustainable nutrition practices to reduce food waste. She works closely with the VP of Strategic Growth to build relationships and support fundraising initiatives.

With over a decade of international experience in research and teaching within the fields of nutrition and health, Miteshri is deeply passionate about educating underserved and vulnerable communities on health and wellness. Her research on childhood obesity management in children with autism has informed her ongoing work in maternal and child health in the U.S. Miteshri is committed to making a meaningful impact in every organization she is involved with and continues to drive positive change.

Outside of her professional work, Miteshri enjoys gardening, cooking, and spending time in solitude - whether reading books or catching up on TV shows.

Levente Szego

Digital Marketing Manager

Levente Szego brings 15 years of marketing and product management experience to Celestial Manna’s Marketing team. He started his career in his native Hungary after getting his MBA. He worked for Bristol-Myers Squibb and the German Hartmann group, two large international pharmaceutical and medical device companies active in Hungary, before moving to the US, where he worked for 8 years at a small medical device business, Roboz Surgical. Recently, he has been working as a consultant on digital marketing projects.

Levente spends much of his free time on the road with his family as both his children are involved in competitive travel sports. He also enjoys being active. He is a top-level veteran fencer with 2 USA Championship titles and also likes riding his mountain bike or hiking with his wife and dogs. He enjoys music and loves going to concerts: whether indoors or outdoors, classical or modern electronic, Levente will aim to be there.

Courtney DeKam received her Associate of Applied Business in Accounting from Lorain County Community College in Elyria, Ohio. She subsequently worked in accounting roles for 18 years before she joined Celestial Manna in 2024 as a payroll clerk where she hopes to employ her talent to further the goals of Celestial Manna in providing nutrition to families in need.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading the Bible and she also loves spending quiet hours outdoors, whether it's casting a line into a peaceful lake while fishing or observing the beauty of nature as she watches birds, savoring the tranquility that comes with both activities.

Tiana Davis got her Bachelors in Communication from University of North Carolina Greensboro, and her Masters of Communication with a focus in marketing from Southern New Hampshire University. She lives in North Carolina now and in her free time she likes to spray paint, draw, and write poetry.
